Alicia Hamilton

Program Founder

Alicia Hamilton is the Founder of the Fresh Start Furnishings program at Inner County Outreach, 501(c)3 nonprofit strengthening families across lifetimes and legacies.  She is also the CEO and Founder of Social Progress Solutions, a start-up social enterprise with the mission of eliminating financial insecurity.  She has created a virtual roadmap out of poverty called the Path to Success that is currently being piloted in Harford County, Maryland with plans to expand nationwide. 

Once a social service recipient herself, Alicia now serves on the Harford Helps committee at Technology 4 Causes and has previously served as Vice Chair on the Department of Social Services Advisory Board. She has a BS from Towson University in Family and Human Services and brings two and half decades of lived experience to her work as a resilient and resourceful single mother.

 

Alicia is a 2018 graduate of the Harford Leadership Academy and a 2019 graduate of the Towson Professional Leadership Program for Women.  She was a winner in the 2021 United Way Changemaker Challenge, a top-five finalist for the 2023 Athena Leadership Award and is the 2023 winner of the Champion in Life Award presented by the Building for God Community Foundation.  In 2025 she was also nominated as a Upper Chesapeake 2025 Woman to Watch by APG Chesapeake. When not out working to make a positive difference in the world, Alicia finds joy in taking care of herself through yoga and functional fitness and attending service at Mountain Christian Church. She enjoys spending quality time with her son Brendon, sharing deep friendships, and loves going on long hikes with her canine companion.
