At Fresh Start Furnishings, we believe that when community organizations work together, the impact multiplies. We recently experienced that firsthand through a powerful connection with Harford RENEW.
It started with a simple, generous act. Tabitha Gosnell, founder of Harford RENEW, visited our showroom to pick up furniture and housewares for a recovery house she was working to furnish. While she was here, she learned that one of our clients couldn’t afford the delivery fee. Without hesitation, she covered the cost herself; a generous and meaningful gesture that helped someone take the next step toward rebuilding their life.

But that wasn’t the end of the story - it was the beginning of something bigger.
Inspired by our shared mission to support people in transition, Tabitha and her husband Brian connected us to the GXO Logistics and Conair Distribution Center in Hagerstown, Maryland. That introduction led to an incredible donation three and a half pallets of brand-new small appliances and kitchenware, including toasters, coffee makers, cookware, food processors, and more totaling a fair market value of over $5,500. Fresh Start volunteers helped to transport another one and a half pallets of donations to support the mission and clients served by Harford RENEW.
This partnership is a beautiful example of what happens when local nonprofits, community leaders, and corporate partners come together. From one thoughtful gesture to a connection that unlocked thousands of dollars in resources, this is the kind of ripple effect that changes lives.
To Harford RENEW, GXO/Conair, the Fresh Start volunteers who provided the transportation and muscle we say thank you. You’re proving that when we lift each other up, we all rise.
