From the Street to Stability: Bobby Finds a Fresh Start

Before coming to Fresh Start Furnishings, Bobby was living in a shelter with no income and little hope for change. “Nothing good happens on the street,” he shared, reflecting on a time in his life marked by uncertainty and survival.

With the support of the shelter, Bobby was able to secure SSI income and was connected to Main Street Housing, a program that helped him transition into a home he now shares with a roommate. For the first time in a long time, Bobby has a roof over his head and a space to call his own.

Thanks to Fresh Start’s new delivery service, Bobby received the essential furnishings he needed to settle in including a bed, sofa, tv and tv stand, and an assortment of kitchenware and home goods. These simple comforts mean the world to him. “I’m just grateful,” he said. “Grateful for a bed, a couch, and a place that’s mine.”
