Harford Day School Students Deliver Joy and Dignity with Cleaning Supply Baskets

The moment someone walks into their newly furnished home they are filled with relief, gratitude, and hope. And thanks to the thoughtful students at Harford Day School, that moment now includes something even more special; an unexpected housewarming gift that says, "You did it, and we’re proud of you."

Middle school students recently collected cleaning supplies to create our “Welcome Home” Cleaning Supply Baskets and thoughtfully assembled them with care, color, and creativity. Wrapped like Easter baskets and filled to the brim with essentials, these cheerful gifts do more than meet a need. They are a joyful surprise that honors each recipient’s journey to stability and celebrate all that lies ahead.

For many of the families and individuals we serve, moving into a furnished home is a powerful milestone but it often happens without the celebration that others with more means might receive. There are no housewarming parties and no registry gifts.

Just a quiet step forward on their path to success. These baskets help fill that gap, reminding our clients that they are seen, supported, and worthy of celebration.
