Harford Mutual Employees Bring Enthusiasm and Effort to Fresh Start Furnishings

Fresh Start Furnishings was honored to welcome a group of dedicated employees from Harford Mutual Insurance Group, who spent the day volunteering their time and energy to support the mission of ending furniture poverty in Harford County. Their commitment to community and service was clear from the moment they arrived.

Over the course of the day, they helped sort and organize donations in our showroom so that items can be easily selected by clients "shopping" for what they need. They rolled up their sleeves to give new life to a few furniture pieces that had seen better days, cleaning and refurbishing them so they’re ready to offer comfort and dignity in a new home.

The team also assembled donor thank-you envelopes which is an important step in connecting with and honoring the generous people who make our work possible. And, when it came time to move the goods, they pitched in to unload donations from new donors and load furniture and household items for the families being served that day.

We are incredibly grateful to Harford Mutual Insurance Group for their longstanding and dedicated support. Their volunteer service is more than a one-day commitment; it’s a powerful demonstration of their values in action. Through projects like this, they aren’t just an insurance company; they are a partner, a neighbor, and a friend to our community.
