Resilience in Action: Calvin’s Journey Toward a Brighter Future

Meet Calvin, a recent Fresh Start Furnishings client who reminded everyone what resilience and determination look like. When his appointment day arrived, Calvin didn’t wait for a delivery. He rented his own truck, showed up early, and worked side by side with volunteers cheerfully lifting dressers, loading up his bed, and even organizing his truck like a pro. His gratitude was contagious, and his positive energy lit up the entire showroom.

Before heading out, Calvin received a basket of cleaning supplies, thoughtfully donated by the students an at Harford Day School, a small gesture that meant a great deal as he settles into his new space. While chatting with volunteers, Calvin shared that he’s interested in entrepreneurship and business management. With that drive and work ethic, we have no doubt that Calvin’s fresh start is just the beginning.
