Inspired by the HGTV show Flea Market Flip, Fresh Start Flip is Harford’s hometown spin on transforming discarded furniture and home goods items into distinctive pieces that will brighten your home's décor.

Individuals and teams of up to 5 members will compete to transform old items into creative new pieces in one of three design categories: small to mid-sized furniture, wall art, and tabletop décor. Teams can participate in one or more categories, with a chance to win both the Professional's Choice Award and the People's Choice Award in each. One standout team will also be honored with the Fresh Start Fundraising Award, recognizing their exceptional commitment to transforming empty houses into homes.

The second season of the Fresh Start Flip Competition kicks off on September 17, 2025, with an Industry Professionals’ Happy Hour hosted by The Harford Collective at Harford Home Interiors, from 5–7 PM. The competition will culminate in a Networking & Awards Ceremony on February 19, 2026, where participating teams and their talent will be celebrated.

The winning items from the competition will be featured in the live auction at our 3rd Annual Tapas & Treasures Signature Event and the remaining items will be featured in a virtual silent auction to benefit our mission.
